The Good Soldier Svejk at The Jerusalem Theatre

Dog-dealer Josef Svejk sets out from his house upon the outbreak of the Great War, on his way to the battlefield. Through the eyes of his foolish-yet-cunning protagonist, Jaroslav Hašek metes his fierce criticism on the institutions he most hates: the Catholic Church, the army, bureaucracy, the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, and, above all, the senseless killing of the war.
