Johann Strauss Jr. wanted only one thing in life – to be exactly like his father, superstar Johann Strauss Sr. However, Papa Strauss wanted his son to be a banker. Young Johann wouldn’t give up, and, with his mother’s help, studied music behind his father’s back. Then, one day he conquered Vienna and became King of the Waltz. Strauss Sr. was so jealous of his son’s success and even sent ruffians to interrupt his performances. The charming waltzes and polkas of Strauss Jr. accompany the program at a dizzying pace, with dancers, a string quartet and piano.
