Kibbuztimm College of Education

The Certificate Program in Acting in our school features a wider variety and a larger quantity of theoretical and practical courses than any other school for acting in Israel. It is a three year program and on completion the graduate receives a Certificate in Acting. Students may earn the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree and a teaching certificate by attending classes twice a week for an additional two years.

Tel Aviv University

The program grants a B.A. degree and a MFA degree in the course of 4 years instead of 5 years. The program grants excellent professional training in acting by the best instructors in the country, among which are Prof. Zvika Serper, Mrs. Yael Cramsky, Mr. Gadi Roll and Mr. Doron Tavori, as well as an in-depth and extensive theoretical training by leading theatre researchers such as Prof. Shuli Lev-Aladgem, Prof. Gad Kenar, Prof. Nurit Yaari, Dr. Dafna Ben-Shaul, Dr. Dror Harari and Dr. Yair Lipschitz.

The aim of the program is to train actors in a high professional level through an intensive curriculum that combines instillation of skills in the fields of acting, movement, pronunciation and vocal pedagogy, alongside theoretical studies in the fields of the history and theory of the theatre and the performance. As part of the program that is offered, the students will take part in productions directed by professional directors as well as directing projects of MFA students of directing, that will take place as part of the "Department's Productions" in the University's theatre. The students will receive personal accompaniment in fulfillment of theoretical and practical assignments.

Admission terms for the program are the University admission terms customary in the department, as well as compatibility assessments in acting and a personal interview.

The School of Visual Theatre

Every year, the School admits students from various countries, both as a part of an international student-exchange program, and on a full-scale studies program.

Beit Zvi School for the Performing Arts

Beit Zvi is the country's first theater school not affiliated with an established theater. It was founded by Haim Gamzo.[1]Former director Gary Bilu established a theater for Beit Zvi graduates and mounted plays not put on by the repertory theaters.

Beit Zvi offers a three-year program with an emphasis on acting in real productions. Micah Lewensohn, appointed head of the school in 2009, is the former director of the Israel Festival Lewensohn plans to institute a BA degree and a program in television studies.

L&L Goodman Theatre Acting School

The L & L Goodman Theatre and Acting School of the Negev was founded in 2005. The School is known for its exceptionally professional standards and highly acclaimed teachers. The main goal of the school is being a cultural and artistic center and home in Be'er Sheva and the neighboring towns. It aims to develop and promote local talents, and to provide its students with the knowledge and tools required for a successful professional career in the field. There are currently fifty students attending the prestigious three year program at the School.

There is a full partnership and collaboration with the Be'er Sheva Theater. Over twenty of the School's alumni are part of the Theatre's ensemble today. The school sees great importance in encouraging its students too stay in the South and in helping them integrate in the cultural and artistic activities in the city and the area.

The School produces six professional shows a year, which include a rich repertoire that ranges from Israeli to international materials, developed by the best directors and creative professionals in Israel. The shows are open to the wide audience, welcoming about 8,000 spectators a year.
