Tmu-na Theater is the largest fringe center in Israel. In 1999, the theater became the home of independent art, espousing values ??of research, exploration and dealing with content that would not necessarily have been accepted by the established Israeli theater.

Over the years, Tmu-na Theater has changed the map of independent art in Israel. Professional artists from all fields of art view this workshop as a free and unique laboratory space in the Israeli art scene, a space that enables the realization of their artistic vision uncompromisingly.

The theater, which is home to artists and audiences, is in fact an interdisciplinary cultural center that combines different disciplines; Theater, dance, performance, music, plastic arts and cinema with the motivation to expand the boundaries of artistic, political and social discourse, as well as dealing with internal political questions that seek to create new performance languages.

Today the theater includes four different spaces for performances, intimate spaces alternative and unique, which provide a stage for more than 1,000 cultural performances in various areas a year.

The theater has a creative ensemble established by Nava Zuckerman in 1986 with the aim of creating a theater based on the ability of expression and personal creativity of the participants and producing about three productions a year. A year after its establishment, the ensemble created the play "Momo-Na'am" which was performed at the Acre Festival 1982. Since then, the ensemble has produced about 30 different productions, all in unique and personal theatrical language. Most of the plays were performed at Bachorot at festivals in Israel such as the Israel Festival, Theatroneto and the Acco Festival of Alternative Theater. Many of the ensemble's performances received acclaim by critics and even the Fringe First Award, the most prestigious prize at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
