The Kiryat Motzkin Theatre Hall Presents Its Classical Series

A 9th season, new and bold, of the north's successful music series, from the conductor, composer and pianist Gil Shohat. For the first time the season will host the singer and artist David Broza along with his best songs, will unite Israeli theatre queens Leah Koenig and Miriam Zohar in a conjoint show, will present Swan Lake with the Israel Ballet as well as a major virtuosi show, a show of songs by Ehud Manor sung by the country's greatest singers and a choirs show with famous chorales from Italian operas. Such a season has never been before!

Ha'isha She'iti (The Woman by My Side) - Gil Shohat hosts David Broza- Nov. 11, 2016
David Broza, Polyphony Ensemble and Gil Shohat- conductor and pianist.

The loved and appreciated singer and artist David Broza meets Shohat and Symphonette Raanana in this premiere performance, performing the touching Piano Concerto by Maurice Ravel and Broza's most loved songs: Mitachat Lashamayim (Under the Sky), Ha'isha She'iti (The Woman by My Side), A Bedouin Love Song, Yihye Tov (Things Will Get Better).

Life's Cabaret - Jan. 13, 2017

The two great Israeli theatre divas are joined together for a once in a lifetime concert filled with songs of nostalgia and love, cabaret, monologues from plays and health wrecking standup numbers. All these will meet Edvard Grieg's music from the play Peer Gynt.

A Tchaikovsky Celebration - Mar. 3, 2017
The Israel Ballet, Symphonette Raanana and Gil Shohat- conductor and pianist.

Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and additional pieces by Tchaikovsky will receive a special orchestral and choreographic performance on the big stage by soloists of the Israel Ballet which specializes in classical interpretations of the greatest ballets.

Virtuosi - April 28, 2017

Efrat Rotem - Soprano, Dorel Golan - Piano, Arik Davidov - Trumpet, Eyal Kless - Violin, Leonid Ptashka - Piano, Gil Shohat- Piano and Conducting.

Six virtuosi, limitless with instruments and varied music genres, meet on one stage in a special concert, an evening full of breathless virtuosity fireworks.

The program includes operatic arias by Donizetti, Verdi and Puccini, compositions for violin by Sarasate and Ravel, compositions for piano by Chopin and Rachmaninoff as well as Jazz pearls.

Singing Ehud Manor - June 2, 2017
Keren Hadar - Soprano, Daniela Lugasi - Soprano, Ofra Manor, Symphonette Raanana and Gil Shohat- Piano and Conducting.

A show with the moving songs we grew on, by Ehud Manor, with the same words that are a part of the soul of the beautiful Israel. The show brings new and rich arrangements performed by the country's greatest singers, accompanied by Symphonette Raanana and songs reading and monologues by Ofra Manor. Additionally, the evening will include an original performance of Mozart's piano concerto, combined with tunes from the well known songs.

The Greatest Choral Compositions - July 21, 2017
Gradinaru Mirela, Svetlana Sandler, Alexey Kanunnikov, The Jerusalem Academy Chamber Choir, Symphonette Raanana and Gil Shohat- Piano and Conducting.

The most beautiful choral compositions in the history of opera sung in one evening, some with audience participation. Parts from La traviata, Carmen, Aida, La forza del destino, Madama Butterfly, La bohème and Porgy and Bess.
