Mystorin Theatre Ensemble Presents RAAMSET

RAAMSET by the Mystorin Theatre Ensemble is a novel groove performance, combining ancient rituals and traditions with modern club culture. RAAMSET is theatre made for the era of Snapchat - an era of images, experimentation and participation. It is experience-theatre where the audience gradually becomes an active participant. The show's style embraces the contemporary viewing practice of reaction and interaction. RAAMSET turns the theatre viewing experience into a living app.

The show takes place in a space with no stage, where the audience can move freely on the dance floor of a glam club designed to look like a psychedelic temple. The scenes that occur through this space are combined with a glamorous party accompanied by a professional D.J who is included as a character in the show and plays an irresistible set. The traditional viewing event evolves into a multi-sensual physical experience: the audience dances, eats and drinks in a godly feast, cheers on wrestling and boxing fights, creates a flashmob, and takes on a variety of other roles. The show combines singing, various forms of dance, aerial acrobatics, physical theatre and clowns. The show's fabulous costumes, the plot, the songs, the music and the original texts form an exciting and thought provoking experience whist being heaps of fun and sweeping the audience of its feet.
