A new and contemporary adaptation of George Orwell's classic, dystopian and prophetic creation which has become these days more relevant than ever.

On June 8, 1949, George Orwell published his novel which deals with a futuristic society that is under the constant scrutiny of the "Big Brother". The literary prophecy of 1984 was a world in an unstoppable state of war, close government surveillance at any time and place, and a constant society brainwash.

In the age of "post-truth", of reflections and appeals to democracy, of slogans as an alternative to facts; The leaks from WikiLeaks and Edward Snowden's discoveries - the "1984" creation has become more relevant and inspiring as ever. Recently, Amazon announced that because of the "Trump Effect" the book reached the top of its best-seller list.

"I'm not crazy. There's truth. And there are facts. There's no alternative for facts! Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two makes four. Because it's true. Two plus two makes four. Two plus two makes four". (from the play)
