I have a confession. Before I went to my first fringe theater show I used to think that fringe theater must be weird and too artsy. Since I started watching this kind of theater show I realize that this is not the case, and good shows and bad shows are everywhere. Recently I watched L'Amour médecin (Harofe Hameahev) on Tzavta, and I don't remember I ever watched something this bad.

Honestly, I saw a better graduations showcases. It begins with the old Molière script. Something this old, I believe, must come with a twist, it might be a modern version or a nice set that will connect you to the time and place but no. The only thing that might connect to the time and place was the costumes that actually looked cheap. The set did not exist (I don't think that a carpet and a chair can be called a set) and in this kind of old plays they can't stand alone just by the script.

The only thing that might make this show special was making it Commedia dell'arte that was really bad in my opinion. In this show, one of the more gentle and small characters is played by a big guy with drag costume, On the paper that could work and be funny but on stage, it looked amateurish, not professional and not complete. The only actor I liked was Roni Dembinsky but still not enough to like the whole show. And unfortunately, although its a comedy, The jokes were not strong enough.

In the audience with me, there were a lot of children and I think they enjoyed more than me... It looks a little bit like children show that gone wrong. Tzavta is a great house for many ideas, that develop young actress and staff, but not everything should be on stage, and this is embarrassing.
