Wallis Bird at Cork Opera House

The Wexford 'Wunderkind' winds her way back to her homeland for a short Irish tour next April to coincide with the release of her 4th album. 'Wallis Bird' was released in 2012 to unanimous critical acclaim and secured a Choice Music Prize nomination. Being the Road Warrior that she is, Wallis spent the year out on tour promoting it, playing well over 100 shows around the world last year. She basically had a gig somewhere every 3.5 days so if you didn't see her, you must be living in Ulan Bator or Tierra Del Fuego, such was her global reach.Wallis remains unchallenged as 'The Hardest Working Woman' in Irish Music: an indefatigable, untrammelled spirit who will not be denied. Her new album was recorded in Berlin with her loyal band of musicians and will be released in April 2014.
