TOCHT FESTIVAL OF DANCE is Kerry’s Official Dance Festival, taking place every April. The Festival was born out of the Dancer in Residence Scheme in 2011 by Dancer and Choreographer Catherine Young and Siamsa Tíre, The National Folk Theatre of Ireland, supported by Kerry County Council and the Arts Council.
Join us for two full days of dance with an exciting programme spanning all of the dance genres: contemporary dance, ballet, break dance and hip hop, Irish dance, African and more with a fantastic line-up of local, national and international guest artists. TOCHT will offer master classes and workshops in dance, screening of dance films, talks and discussions on dance as well as a super performance programme each evening. Whether you are a veteran or new to dance, TOCHT will offer something for all - partake in a dance class or simply sit back and enjoy the performances.
TOCHT will premiere new work by Catherine Young, Kerry Youth Dance Theatre and Siamsa Tíre as well as an exciting line up of national and international artists to be announced in early 2012.
