Joan finds it easier to talk to a chair than to anybody else about the bull that is pestering her, her husband's death, facing up to the truth about her sexuality, and dealing with the guilt of it all, well she is Irish. Her girlfriend, Sharon, and her therapist, Vanessa are trying to help Joan to come to terms with her sexuality but it's proving to be a difficult task. Come and laugh and maybe cry with Joan. The short version of this play was runner-up for best script in the Claremorris Drama and Fringe Festival in 2022 and Brd Quinn won best actress for her performance. The playwright (Anne Walsh Donnelly) was also awarded a bursary from the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival in 2020 for an earlier version of the script. About The B Vine Collective: Established in 2022, The B Vine Collective is a west of Ireland arts group. It is made up of people from Mayo and Galway who share a love of theatre, performance, arts and the written word.
