Fronted by Zimbabwean born singer & percussionist Wilson Magwere, the band formed in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Alongside Ghanaian Thomas Annang, who is regarded as one of the worlds best Djembe drummers, and musicians from China and Ireland, they have been performing everywhere from theatres and clubs to international music festivals and featured in a recent BBC Radio 4 documentary of singer Wilson Magwere .
Their music is primarily influenced by Zimbabwean rebel music, but there are elements of funk, reggae & afro-beat present in the mix. A unique blend of African colour & European cool, Magwere have up until now been one of Ireland's best kept secrets .They possess an enviable reputation for delivering performances that crackle with energy and in Wilson they have a frontman whose voice & presence can touch the loneliest of souls.
