MUSICAL STORIES at Cork Pops Orchestra

The Cork Pops Orchestra presents a series of school concerts centered around the theme of 'Stories' from November 12th to 15th at City Hall, Cork. The concerts will feature notable performances by vocalist Keith Hanley, whose original song "Pinocchio" complements the Disney selections, and rap artist Tiny, who has performed on the Late Late show, at aelectric Picnic and at Pukkelpop in Belgium. Tiny began his engagement with music and words through the Kabin Studio in Knocknaheeny.  The viral hit of the summer, The Spark, was a collaboration between young participants (The Kabin Crew aged 9 -12) from the Kabin Studio and young people in Direct Provision in Co. Clare (The Lisdoonvarna Crew.)   They are grammy nominated artists 2024. Music arrangements by Jimmy Brockie will showcase a blend of musical theatre, film scores, and pop hits, while a special piece by Marian Ingoldsby will be introduced. With a focus on connecting contemporary music with classical traditions, this concert series encourages active listening and audience participation.
