Happy Days by Samuel Beckett at Draíocht

Happy Days is the 3rd of Samuel Beckett's great comic/tragic full length plays on the human condition; Waiting for Godot and Endgame being the others. Our heroine Winnie, a housewife who is married to Willie, find themselves alone in a barren wilderness. In this often hilarious play, Winnie depends on Willie for company and support even though he spends most of his time sleeping. She finds comfort in her literary quotations and in the contents of her black bag which she delves into throughout her Happy Day.
