Get UR Ballet On! at Cork Opera House

This exciting new show is a wonderful celebration of dance and will feature students of all ages performing classical ballet, jazz, contemporary ballet and lyrical commercial dance. Cork School of Dance is one of Cork’s premier dance schools. This production will showcase the talents of the students in the school.

Directed, choreographed and produced by Sinéad Murphy Get Ur Ballet On features new works by Patricia Crosbie, Ballet Mistress Cork City Ballet, Inma Moya Pavon and Ciaran Connolly who has danced with ‘Take That’, most recently at the Brit Awards 2015 and who has choreographed for June Rodgers shows also. Get Ur Ballet On will also feature a new work created by Sinead Murphy and Tim Feehily for guest artists, Cork Youth Ballet Company.

Lighting is by Tim Feehily, whose most recent work includes The Fifth Province for Dylan Quinn Dance Company which had its world premiere at The Mac in Belfast in January 2015 and also The Hole by John Sheehy which also premiered this year. Tim’s credits for 2014 included The Nutcracker for Cork City Ballet and Cinderella at the Everyman Palace Theatre.

The Cork School of Dance is based in the Firkin Crane, home of dance in Cork and offers a range of classes in Classical Ballet, Modern, Jazz Dance and Contemporary Dance.
