The Roscommon Arts Centre will host two captivating shows this February. First, local comedians The Two Willies will reprise their sell-out show "Funny Side Up" on Friday, February 5th. Then, OJ Ryan's play "Bad Faith" will be performed from Thursday, February 17th to Saturday, February 19th.

After enjoying huge success with their debut performance last October, John Crean and Liam Sherringham have decided to perform "Funny Side Up" again, for one night only, due to demand. Expect to see more of this hilarious duo with their unique, rural slapstick comedy style. You'll be introduced to old popular characters as well as a few new ones to keep you more than entertained. Supporting The Two Willies will be Stephen Blake, winner of 2010 Stars of Our Bars regional final. It will be a night not to be missed if you're in need of a good belly up laugh!

"Bad Faith" tells the story of the prodigal son returned after over 20 years in exile. This play, starring Roscommon native Ben Mulhern, explores the deep psychological triggers that fashioned a young man's life. The small town that formed him, the father he rejected, the psychologist that changed his life and the reasons he abandoned home, family and faith for a life on a Dutch building site. Returning after 22 years, the adult Gerard makes a series of painful discoveries on his road to redemption.

Ben Mulhern is a native of Roscommon town and currently based in Dublin working as a full time actor. His most recent work was the play "Blasted" by Sarah Kane in Druid Theatre for the Galway Theatre Festival and "The Shawshank Redemption" in the Gaeity. O.J. Ryan is a Dublin born playwright. His first play, "Bad Faith," debuted at T@36 Theatre, The Teachers' Club, Parnell Sq. West, Dublin in Feb 2010. He is currently pursuing an M.A. in Directing for Theatre in University College Dublin.

All performances will be at 8pm. Book your tickets now for these memorable nights of theatre by calling Roscommon Arts Centre's box office on (090) 662-5824, or by visiting the box office in person. The box office is closed on Mondays and runs Tuesdays - Fridays from 11am - 5:30pm (2pm - 5:30pm on performance Saturdays). Early booking advised. The Arts Centre is located at Circular Road, Roscommon, Co. Roscommon.
