Livin' Dred Theatre Company present The Kings of the Kilburn High Road at The Everyman this November, for 5 nights only.

Critically acclaimed worldwide, including New York & London, The Kings of the Kilburn High Road, written by Jimmy Murphy & Directed by Padraic McIntyre, opens at the Everyman on Monday 21st November, until Friday 25th November 2016.

Starring Phelim Drew (Once, My Left Foot, Playboy of the Western World), Malcolm Adams (Alone It Stands, Stones In His Pockets), Arthur Riordan (Writer of The Train & Rap Eire with Des Bishop), Seamus O'Rourke (Ride On!, Beauty Queen of Leenane) and Charlie Bonner (Dancing at Lughnasa, RTE's Rebellion).

The Kings of the Kilburn High Road set in the mid 1970's, tells the story of a group of young men who left their homes in the West of Ireland, took the boat out of Dublin Bay, and sailed across the sea to England in the hope of making their fortunes and returning home. Twenty-five years later only one, Jackie Flavin, makes it home, but does so in a coffin. The Kings of the Kilburn High Road takes place on the day the winners and losers of the group meet up to drink to Jackie Flavin's memory and looks at their lives, lost dreams and their place in the new Ireland.
