Keane's play is just as relevant in today's society, though written in the 1960s. The issues of emigration, alcoholism, status of women, and politics (jobs for the boys): Keane shows how we Irish people deal with these issues in spirited and humorous ways.
A great cast have come together for this production: Eoin Hally, Fionula Linehan, Antoinette Hilliard, Paul Creighton, Charlie Ruxton, Ian McGuirk, April Kelly, Kevin Corcoran, Aaron Blake and introducing Julie Twomey, Andrew Lane, Sarah O'Regan and Shane Downey.
Director Catherine Mahon-Buckley has brought new life to this superb play. The creative team, Olan Wrynn, Jessica Healy, Brian Mitchell and Conor Tallon promise to bring you on a theatrical journey, in Keane's words "Start up the music."
