"Dave was in the original cast of CATS. On opening night he was sacked. He was not a happy pussy..."
The Courtyard Theatre presents CAT - THE PLAY, starring Gerard McCarthy as Dave, written by Richard Hardwick and Jamie Beamish.
After a sold out run at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, this brand new comedy about the greatest musical theatre star that never got to shine finally makes it to...BELFAST?!?!
Featuring a cast of characters that includes Our Lord Lloyd Webber, Tall Timmy Rice, Crazy Hair Trevor and Dave's favourite leading lady Elaine Paige, CAT isn't so much a love letter to musical theatre... more a death threat!
Running from Monday 23rd - Saturday 28th February at The Courtyard Theatre, this strictly limited run is definitely not for the faint hearted: contains high kicks and swearing!
The announcement was made via McCarthy's twitter account with a link to the theatre website and the message... "The CAT is out of the bag now..."
