Doughnuts by Eoin Byrne in collaboration with TEAM, looks at the devastating consequences of reckless driving for a group of teenagers in a small town in Ireland. The programme, which is aimed at 4th, 5th and 6th year students, consists of a play, educational resource material and a post show workshop. The programme aims to raise awareness of road safety issues among young adults, present the importance of having a socially responsible attitude towards road safety, understand the risks associated with dangerous driving and help young people to make better choices and take responsibility for their actions.Noel Brett, Chief Executive of the RSA said: "We are delighted to work with TEAM on this exciting theatre programme for students which will demonstrate to young people the devastating consequences of dangerous driving. The reality is that young adults are at a significantly higher risk of collisions on our roads and Doughnuts will show students how a wrong decision can change lives forever. This programme aims to raise students' awareness of road safety issues, present the importance of having a responsible attitude towards road safety and develop students' self-awareness regarding youth, risk and road safety."Videos
