Johnny Carroll returns to his home county this December to perform a very special pre-Christmas concert in Roscommon Arts Centre on Saturday 8th December. Nicknamed The Man with the Golden Trumpet, Johnny Carroll is a native of Castlerea who has had many decades of working in show business both as a solo performer and also fronting The Premier Aces and The Magic band. Music knows no boundaries and that is certainly the case with Johnny Carroll as he can play to suit all tastes from jazz to traditional Irish tunes on trumpet and vocals.

When it comes to entertaining an audience, Johnny Carroll will work as hard to entertain 70 guests at some private corporate party as he did when he entertained almost 70,000 at Croke Park during the interval at the All-Ireland hurling final a few years ago - also seen by hundreds of thousands of TV viewers worldwide.

He has been belting out big-band sounds, Rock 'n' Roll, international hits and traditional Irish tunes on his trumpet with various top lrish bands, and as a solo star since the late 1950's. In America, Johnny has already appeared in concert in New York, Boston, Florida, Cleveland, and several other areas.

He is the only Irish instrumentalist to have topped the charts with a trumpet tune, his interpretation of the classic "Oh Mein Papa", and his albums have earned Johnny Carroll six Gold Discs. Because there is no language barrier for a trumpet player, Johnny Carroll's records have also been selling well in far off places from Austria to Austin and from Norway to Namibia! Anywhere in the world where people of good musical taste want a touch of class tinged with a touch of the traditional Irish sounds on trumpet and vocals, Johnny Carroll is the man to add to the party atmosphere every time. There are a very limited number of seats remaining for this concert at Roscommon Arts Centre. Call the box office now to reserve at 090 6625824 or onlone at www.roscommonartscentre.
