Wexford Male Voice Choir is proud to present their 70th Anniversary Concert in Wexford Opera House on Saturday, June 18 at 8pm. This will be a celebration of the Choir's existence since its first public performance on June 18, 1941 in the old Theatre Royal.

The current choir will perform some of their favourite pieces from the vast repertoire they have built up over their 70 year history. The concert will also feature Wexford Ladies Choir as well as special guest appearances by Irish Soprano Celine Byrne & Wexford Tenor Eamonn Mullhall, who have performed on many occasions before with the Choir.

Celine Byrne, the award winning soprano, is making her mark on both the operatic and concert stages throughout the world. Her appearances at major concert houses in Ireland and abroad including Carnegie Hall, the National Concert Hall in Dublin, as well as the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia, have been greeted with enthusiastic acclaim by her audiences. Celine's world-class lyric voice can be heard on her newly released debut CD, For Eternity, on the RTE lyric fm label.

Eamonn Mulhall was born in Wexford and studied singing in Dublin with Mary Brennan and at the RCM with Ryland Davies.

Tickets for this very special event are €20 and can be booked online at www.wexfordoperahouse.ie, or by calling the box-office on 053 912 2144. No booking fee applies. SkyView cafe opens 1 hour prior to performance.
