TodayTix, the global ticketing platform connecting audiences to live performances around the world, today launched a new phase of its longstanding partnership with Ambassador Theatre Group North America (ATG). The partnership marks TodayTix's first fully integrated partnership with a commercial theater group.
"TodayTix and ATG have successfully worked together over the past several seasons to make tickets to their top Broadway shows more accessible to audiences in both price and opportunity, and we are thrilled to amplify that access to programming across their venues. Through this partnership, we can continue to open doors to the live theatrical experience for all who wish to enjoy it," Brian Fenty, TodayTix Co-Founder and CEO, said.
Audiences can now view ticket availability for North American ATG productions ticketed by ATG Tickets US in real time and view their assigned seats based on a desired price point on the TodayTix app and website.
ATG productions in North America will also conduct ticket Rush and Lottery programs through TodayTix's Access programs. These programs successfully help build excitement and ticket sales around new shows with the platform's ability to uniquely engage new, young audiences. Details for how to unlock Rush and Lottery tickets will be available on the respective show pages of the TodayTix app and website.
"At ATG, our ambition is to help great shows find the largest audiences. The partnership with TodayTix will support our endeavor in reaching audiences across the country through digital innovation," said Stephen Lewin, Ambassador Theatre Group's CEO, North America.
TodayTix has been the official access program provider for seven productions in ATG's North American theatres since 2014. TodayTix and ATG began working together on Broadway productions for the opening of the newly renovated Hudson Theatre and the first production in the theater, "Sunday in the Park with George" starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford. The partnership flourished during the Broadway production of George Orwell's dystopian masterpiece "1984" with the debut of a new TodayTix pre-sale product feature. TodayTix also hosts the Friday Forty for the Broadway production of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" at ATG's Lyric Theatre, which offers 40 tickets for $40 ($20 per part) to every performance of the Tony Award-winning play. TodayTix was the Lottery partner to "Moulin Rouge! The Musical" at ATG's newest venue in North America, Emerson Colonial Theatre, in Boston.
ATG's North American portfolio includes the Lyric and the Hudson on Broadway; the Kings Theater in Brooklyn; the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston; the Saenger Theater and the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts in New Orleans; the Majestic Theater and the Charline McCombs Empire Theater in San Antonio.
