Open Jar Institute Will Host Fall 2024 PRO Master Classes

Open Jar Institute has announced its Fall 2024 series of PRO Master Classes, providing opportunities for professional actors to refine their audition techniques. These series, taught by Broadway Casting Directors and Talent Agents, offer unique platforms for actors to work directly with the industry’s top professionals responsible for casting talent in Broadway’s Off-Broadway, national tours and regional theaters.

The PRO Master Class 3-Class Series will begin on September 12th, each providing a program designed to enhance audition skills, boost confidence, and offer invaluable insights into the casting process. Participants will engage in hands-on coaching sessions with renowned Casting Directors or Talent Agents, gaining firsthand knowledge of what it takes to succeed in the highly competitive world of Broadway and beyond.

Each PRO Master Class Series meets for 3 consecutive weeks, with each class taught by a different industry insider. Students will work one-on-one with the instructor on cuts of audition songs or monologues in a classroom setting. Participants will receive personalized feedback from the instructors, helping the actor excel with each selection. Each class will also include a short Q&A, providing information on the intricacies of the casting process and insight on what the auditioner can do to stand out.  

The newly announced Fall 2024 PRO Master Class series are:

• Casting Director 3-Class Series (starting 9/12) taught by Geoff Josselson (Geoff Josselson Casting, etc), Xavier Rubiano (Tara Rubin Casting) and Bob Cline (Bob Cline Casting)

• Theatrical Talent Agent 3-Class Series (starting 10/9) taught by Dustin Flores (Daniel Hoff Agency), Jim Daly (Bloc Agency) and a 3rd agent (tba)

• Casting Director 3-Class Series (starting 10/29) taught by Merri Sugarman (Tara Rubin Casting), Paul Hardt (Hardt Casting) and Chad Murnane (Murnane Casting)

• Theatrical Talent Agent 3-Class Series (starting 11/20) taught by Eric Leiggi (The Mine), Jeremy Sickles (DGRW) and 1 additional agent (tba)
