Bookings are now open for its inaugural short course programme in New York, taking place in February and March.
LAMDA, the UK's leading performing arts institution and the world's oldest drama school, has officially launched its first international base in New York City, in collaboration with its US sister organisation, the American Friends of LAMDA (AFLAMDA).
The milestone was celebrated on Thursday, 23 January with a high-profile launch event at the Players' Club in Manhattan attended by LAMDA faculty, esteemed alumni, industry leaders and special guests from across the creative arts.
This new presence in New York marks a significant step in LAMDA's mission to cultivate the next generation of acting and performing arts talent on a global scale. Located in the heart of Manhattan, the new facilities will serve as a hub for training, innovation, collaboration and education, reinforcing the school's commitment to providing world-class training for aspiring artists.

As part of the expansion, LAMDA is thrilled to announce the appointment of new AFLAMDA board members. Since its inception in 2007, AFLAMDA has acted as a non-profit organisation, with 501(c)3 status in the US, that advances the vision of LAMDA and supports fundraising activities to ensures its industry-leading training is available to American students.
Among the new board members are LAMDA alumni and actors of stage and screen David Beach, Tony Award-nominee and writer Gabby Beans, director and scholar Professor Baron Kelly, who has been appointed as Chair, and Manhattan attorney and producer, Mary Willis White, who will act as Treasurer. World-renowned Succession star and LAMDA alumnus, Brian Cox, also becomes AFLAMDA's inaugural Patron, in recognition of Cox's invaluable contribution to the US and UK entertainment industries and his long-standing commitment to LAMDA.
In addition to unveiling the new facilities, LAMDA has announced that bookings are now open for its inaugural short course programme in New York, taking place in February and March.
These short courses provide a unique opportunity for aspiring performers in the United States to train with LAMDA's esteemed practitioners and benefit from its rich heritage of artistic excellence.
