The Jeffrey L. Nissen Arts Education & Development Fund has opened applications for the Spark Grant, a new program designed to support artists looking to develop new work. In partnership with Open Jar Studios, this program will award studio space credits on a rolling basis, as availability allows. Individual aspiring artists located in the tri-state area of New Jersey, New York and Connecticut are encouraged to apply.
Open to all multidisciplinary and performing artists.
Grants can be used for any activities related to the development of the artist's project, including meetings, rehearsals, presentations, filming, etc.
All studio bookings must be made after the notification of the award.
Applicants that illustrate a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through reach, theme and/or by design are encouraged to apply.
No owner nor partial owner of Open Jar Studios are ineligible to apply for the Spark Grant Program.
