Concord Music Publishing has announced the signing of Emmy and Drama Desk-nominated composer and lyricist Eli Bolin. The worldwide exclusive administration deal, effective immediately, includes Bolin’s full catalog and all future works.

Bolin is the creative mind behind beloved music of theatre and television, including the songs for “Documentary Now!” episode “Original Cast Album: Co-op” alongside Seth Meyers and John Mulaney; their song “Holiday Party (I Did A Little Cocaine Tonight)” received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics. He also collaborated with Mulaney and Marika Sawyer to create the songs for Netflix musical variety special John Mulaney and the Sack Lunch Bunch.

Other television credits include “Nine Perfect Strangers,” “Sesame Street,” “Animaniacs,” “Difficult People” starring Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner, “Julie’s Greenroom,” “Billy on the Street,” and the theme song for the PBS Kids and Amazon reboot of “Clifford the Big Red Dog.”

“I'm grateful and overjoyed to be joining the Concord family and its roster of incredible writers,” said Bolin. “Their whole team is gracious and supportive, and I look forward to what lies ahead.”

“Eli is a versatile and brilliant songwriter,” said Sean Patrick Flahaven, Chief Theatricals Executive for Concord. “His hilarious and poignant songs deftly cross genres and media.”

Bolin is the founding music director of Story Pirates, which performs songs and sketches adapted from the creative writing of children all over the country. For Story Pirates, he co-wrote and produced the single “Llama’s Big Day” featuring Michael Cervantes with composer and orchestrator Mike Pettry. Together, Bolin and Pettry co-host the video game/songwriting podcast “Bit Parade” and wrote the new rock and roll Christmas musical The Last Song of Eddie Scourage.

For the stage, Bolin recently contributed music for Rachel Bloom’s Death, Let Me Do My Show (Drama Desk Nomination), wrote music and lyrics for Found (Atlantic Theater Co.) and composed the scores for Volleygirls (New York Musical Theatre Festival “Best of Fest” and “Most Promising New Musical”), Skippyjon Jones (Lucille Lortel nomination) and its sequel Skippyjon Jones: Snow What, Roller Disco (ART), Schmoozy Togetherness (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Fringical! A Fringical!! (New York Musical Theatre Festival) and I Sing! (Off-Broadway). Bolin served as the music director for Billy Eichner and Robin Lord Taylor’s long-running live show Creation Nation and Upright Citizens Brigade’s Billy Eichner Goes Pop!

Bolin’s upcoming projects include the new musical How to Write Dirty Books for Fun and Profit with writer Rachel Shukert (“GLOW,” “The Baby-Sitters Club”), the musical True Crime Frankenstein with Matt cox (Puffs) and the London premiere of Found in 2025.
