BroadwayHD Picks Up a Library of Titles From Melbar Entertainment Group Including THE TEMPEST, SHOWSTOPPER, and More

BroadwayHD, the premier streaming service for live theater, has picked up a library of five titles from Barry Avrich's Melbar Entertainment Group.

The library, including several productions that will be US premieres includes:

• THE TEMPEST - Filmed live at the Stratford Festival of Canada and directed by Des McAnuff, The Tempest stars the legendary, Academy Award winning actor Christopher Plummer. The award-winning film was produced by Barry Avrich.

• IN CONVERSATION WITH Christopher Plummer AND DES MACNUFF (US Premiere). Produced and directed by Barry Avrich, "In Conversation" is a powerful, in-depth conversation on the making of The Tempest with director Des McAnuff and Christopher Plummer. This was Plummer's final interview before he tragically passed away in February 2021.

• SHOWSTOPPER: THE THEATRICAL LIFE OF GARTH DRABINSKY: (US Premiere). Produced and directed by Barry Avrich, Showstopper is a entertaining documentary that profiles the convicted prolific Broadway producer Garth Drabinsky, producer of Ragtime, Showboat, Kiss of the Spiderwoman. Drabinsky is planning to open his new production, Paradise Square, on Broadway in 2022

• THE MADNESS OF METHOD : (US Premiere). Produced and directed by Barry Avrich, The Madness of Method is an award-winning black comedy that about the theatre business starring veteran actors M. Emmet Walsh and Richard Kind.

• THE MADNESS OF KING RICHARD: (US Premiere). Produced and directed by Barry Avrich, The Madness of King Richard is an entertaining documentary that profiles Richard Monette, veteran actor and legendary Artistic Director of The Stratford Festival.
