Broadway For All, the recipient of a 2022 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre, has announced that it is now accepting applications for its renowned Summer Conservatory. The 4-week intensive program offers young artists from across the country the opportunity to train with industry trailblazers and collaborate with other artists from all walks of life.
BFA's flagship program, the Summer Conservatory is mission-driven designed for students from vast socio-economic and cultural backgrounds to share their passion for the arts while exchanging ideas and expanding their worldview. Students who are incoming 5th graders to incoming 12th graders are encouraged to apply for one or all of the divisions in: Drama, Musical Theatre, Dramatic Writing, TV/Film Production. Students can expect to attend Broadway and off-Broadway theater, train with world-class faculty, and perform in an industry showcase. And, this program is free for all participants.
“For over 10 years now, our core mission at BFA has been to provide rigorous opportunities in the spirit of pluralism and equity in theatre,” says Founder and Artistic Director, Osh Ashruf. “Our Summer Conservatory provides students of disproportionate means the opportunity to train with seasoned professionals on equal footing. To do this right it must be zero cost for all of the students–no matter their zip code.”
The 4-week Summer Conservatory runs from July 8 - August 7, 2024 in Midtown Manhattan, NYC. Students enjoy a thoroughly curated curriculum developed with their success in mind. After training with BFA, students have gone on to work in Broadway's Matilda, Finding Neverland, The King & I, Showtime's Billions, among many others. BFA Summer Conservatory alumni who are incoming 7th graders - incoming 12th graders also have the opportunity to continue to receive ongoing coaching and application support for high schools and colleges and ongoing professional opportunities in the arts industry through BFA:365. This program is designed to level the playing field for students who cannot access expensive audition coaches.
