Partners Temah Higgins, Mollie Mann and DJ Martin of BOND Theatrical, an independently-owned booking and marketing agency for live entertainment, announced several staffing changes today that build on the agency's innovative and strategic offerings for their roster of clients. Tour marketing & publicity veteran Jenny Bates joins the BOND team in the newly formed position of Vice President, Account Management where she will oversee the company's marketing teams who handle the day-to-day advertising, marketing, publicity and audience engagement needs for BOND's marketing clients.
The new appointment comes as two veteran BOND employees also take on new responsibilities within the company. Marc Viscardi, previously Senior Vice President of Marketing & Publicity, has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Account Strategy & Partnerships. In this new role, Marc will oversee strategy across the company's marketing clients, as well as position and build new strategic partnership opportunities across the agency's clients on a national level. Wendy Roberts, former Director of Operations at BOND, has been promoted to Vice President, Operations assuming full leadership of all operational functions that bring live entertainment to life on stage night after night for all of BOND's booking clients.
For over 20 years, Jenny Bates has provided the press and marketing direction for Broadway national tours on both local and national levels. She has worked with The Nederlander Organization, AWA Touring Services and most recently served as the Senior Vice President, Marketing and Press for Broadway Booking Office NYC. Career highlights include: Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera (both the Brilliant Original and Spectacular New tours), Miss Saigon, Jersey Boys, Fun Home, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Last Ship starring Sting, The Light in The Piazza, Matthew Bourne's Edward Scissorhands, The Sound of Music and many more. Jenny served as the marketing consultant for the Transcendence Theatre Company in Sonoma County for the past two seasons and marketed the first new virtual musical of 2020, A Killer Party, to venues across the country. Jenny has also spent many years as a multi-hyphenate artist in the musical theater genre and just released her debut rock EP, "Unpacked Cases," as the lead singer of Beckerton.
Prior to becoming a founding member of the BOND Theatrical team, Marc Viscardi spent more than 15 years in marketing roles with The Nederlander Organization, Broadway Across America and Running Subway Productions. Marc managed the subscription campaigns and marketed the local engagements of hundreds of touring Broadway shows, concerts, special events and commercial museum exhibitions in Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Jacksonville, New York City, St. Louis, Tucson and Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining BOND Theatrical in 2017, Wendy Roberts spent more than 15 years in various roles within live entertainment including the Nashville Repertory Theatre and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, where she most recently served as the Programming Contract Administrator. Prior to her time in Nashville, Wendy worked for NETworks Presentations, first as an Assistant Producer working on shows including Annie, The Civil War, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella starring Eartha Kitt, Jekyll & Hyde, Show Boat, and Victor/Victoria, then as a Company Manager for the touring productions of The Civil War starring Larry Gatlin and NETworks' first touring production of Rent. Wendy began her career as a Sales Associate at The Booking Group.
