Cantalevia & Co. to Host Its First Concert: 'Don't Stop Believin': A Tribute to Glee Concert'

Cantalevia & Co. is an independent choir that performs artistic presentations and offers creative performance concepts for collaboration with public figures, brands, and institutions according to the event's needs. For the first time, Cantalevia & Co. will be holding a concert titled Don’t Stop Believin’: A Tribute to Glee Concert, which will take place on 4-5 October 2024 at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta. Today, Cantalevia & Co. held a press conference on 27 September 2024 at @America, Pacific Place, Level 3, attended by the media, community, public, and invited guests.

Previously, Cantalevia & Co. held online and offline choir auditions, with over 300 participants from the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek) to Bandung. The successful audition participants have been undergoing routine rehearsals, including dancing, singing, and stage arts, to deliver the best performance for the audience who have purchased tickets for this concert.

Bringing the theme of the "GLEE" concert, Cantalevia & Co. aims to provide a platform for hundreds of Gleeks (a term for fans of the Glee musical drama series in Indonesia) to relive the excitement and sing along to the songs from Glee in a choir format. Glee tells the story of youthful optimism in pursuing dreams and love. They also perform covers of famous musicians' works in their own style, accompanied by modern arrangements and choreography.

"The hope is that the Glee concert in Indonesia will add positive values to our daily lives, reminding us about diversity and the spirit of dreaming big while staying optimistic in life. This is because, at its core, members of Cantalevia & Co. come from diverse backgrounds, ranging from college students to working professionals. Despite their busy lives, they are committed to auditioning and practicing 2-3 times a week. Seeing the enthusiasm of the audition participants alone makes me personally grateful and deeply thankful, as I didn’t expect to receive more than 300 auditionees for the Glee concert.
