Salihara International Performing-arts Festival (SIPFest) 2016 by Komunitas Salihara will be held throughout October 1 - November 6, 2016. In five years since 2008, the same Festival was held with the name "Festival Salihara".

SIPFest will showcase 14 performances from the work of dance, music, and teater pieces from Indonesia, Germany, USA, UK, Australia, Norway, Japan, and Malaysia. Many performances is in their world premiere or Asia premiere.

Alongside SIPFest, there also some workshops with the performers and an art exhibition in Salihara's open spaces.

- As the opening of SIPFest, She She Pop will perform with their mothers with the adaptation of Igor Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring". The Rite of Spring was performed before in Switzerland, Japan, France, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Mexico and Cuba.
- The Human Zoo Theatre Company (UK) will bring out together the story, dance, music and poems into their visual imaginery with "The Girl Who Fell in Love with the Moon", which nominated in Best Young Production category from Brighton Fringe Awards 2016.
- Arica Theatre Company (Japan) will perform "Butterfly Dream", about two humans trying to find the soul-searching purpose of life.
- Focusing on percussion this year, SIPFest will showcase Indonesia's percussion music from artists Total Perkusi, Al. Suwardi, Planet Harmonik group, Iwan Gunawan and Kyai Fatahillah Ensamble.
- Through Praeambulum, Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt Dance Company from Norway presents the work with the dancers as a building material in an unfinished house. Ingun Bjørnsgaard is the only artist who received the Norwegian Critics Prize twice.
- Speak Percussion (Australia) will be back to explore two repertoires entitled Fluorophone and Transducer. In Fluorophone, light instruments will be combined with elements of percussion to create the elements of music and light into a single unit, while Transducer makes the microphone as an instrument that reproduces and manipulating electronic and acoustic sound into a new sound to the audience.
- Mega Mendung choreography stems from Fitri Setyaningsih's childhood memories on mega (cloud) which is believed will bring her into the sky. Setyaningsih is one of the Indonesia's young emerging choreographers focused on contemporary work after her long engagement in tradition dances.
- In the Legend of the Crazy Monkey King, Chong Kee Yong, a composer from Malaysia will feature musical compositions with elements of theater inside. Chong Kee Yong is the Vice President of the Malaysian Society of Contemporary Composers.
- A dance piece entitled Prisms are an exploration results by choreographers Benoît Lachambre in collaboration with Montréal Danse (Canada) on social and political conditions that express the taste and gestures.
- Hypercolor (Eyal Maoz, Jamez Ilgenfritz, Lukas Ligeti) will present a repertoire of the album, Tzadik. Repertoire entitled "Squeaks", "Palace", "Forget" are a blend of rock, jazz and the music of Frank Zappa.
- Shown in Helateater 2015 with Arifin C. Noer's Kapai-Kapai (or Gayuh), Kalanari Theatre Movement is back in SIPFest 2016 with the performance Yo-he-ho's Site. Kalanari comes with the concept of site-specific theater that would respond to the outer and inner space in Komunitas Salihara.
- SIPFest 2016 will be closed with the world-premiere stage production "Balabala" by EkosDance Company with choreographer Eko Supriyanto. Supriyanto is the leading Indonesian choreographer who has won international recognition. He danced in the stage for Madonna's World Tour "Drowned" (2001) and as a consultant for The Lion King musical by Julie Taymor (2000).
