THE TEMPEST

Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 PM; Sunday at 3:00 PM

ABOUT THE PLAY: Prospero, the former ruler of Milan, has spent many embittered years stranded on an island after being usurped by his ruthless brother. Now, twelve years later, providence is leading this treacherous villain and the rest of his sailing party right toward that very isle and into Prospero’s powerful clutches. Prospero commands the elements to wash his enemies’ ship ashore to his enchanted island, where he plans to alter the fate of all. Have these evil usurpers finally met their match? Old scores are settled, plots are thwarted, romance blooms, comedy ensues, and magic reigns supreme in a land where magic and humanity collide.

TICKETS: Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students. Patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets online ahead of time. Please bring your phone to scan your ticket upon arrival; no need to print it- you can also be checked in by name.

LOCATION: The performance will take place at the New Theater at 536 N. 7th Street Terre Haute, IN 47809, on the Indiana State University Campus. 

PARKING: There is a parking lot next to the theater and one across the street. Both are free to park in after 5:30 PM on weekdays and free on weekends. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The lobby is open one hour prior to curtain; the house opens thirty minutes prior to curtain. Patrons are encouraged to wear a mask while indoors on the Indiana State University campus regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
