Are you ready to "paint the town and all that jazz"? Tonight, July 18 through July 22, The Wagon Wheel Theatre presents one of the biggest musical blockbusters of all time, Chicago. This 6-time Tony Award winner "combines comedy and show-stopping vaudeville dancing and jazzing."
Set in prohibition-era Chicago, the show is a satire on corruption within the criminal justice system, and explores the treatment of celebrity criminals.
Starlets Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly (recently made famous by Renee Zelwegger and Catherine Zeta-Jones) set their sights on fame and fortune and to make those dreams a reality would stop at nothing short of murder. The divas cross paths with equally aspiring lawyer, Billy Flynn (played by Richard Gere in the 2002 film), who deviously plays the judge and courtroom.
Chicago is the must see show of the summer and the Wagon Wheel Theatre is the only place to catch this professionally produced production. Tickets are on-sale now by calling the box office at 1-866-823-2618 or you can purchase tickets online at wagonwheeltheatre.org.
