Top Three Finalists Announced For Beef & Boards' Annie

Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre has announced the top three finalists for the title role in its upcoming production of Annie.

More than 200 girls auditioned when Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre hosted young performers' auditions March 7 to cast the orphans for the upcoming production of Annie. Of those, Anna Lasbury, Gabrielle McAcree and Kara Oates emerged as the top three to play the spunky orphan, Annie.

This Monday, on the Fox 59 Morning Show, these top three will have a live sing-off on the air. Each finalist will be interviewed and sing "Tomorrow" at various times throughout the show. Viewers will have a chance to vote for their favorites online at fox59.com after the show through Wednesday.

Anna Lasbury is 11 years old and a student at Carmel Middle School. She has performed with the Indianapolis Children's Choir, school choir, performed in school plays and has also been in several commercials and a music video.

Gabrielle McAree is 13 and a student at Hamilton Southeastern Junior High School. She's had roles in numerous productions for The Artists' Studio and has had various singing and dancing roles for Tracy Anderson Productions.

Kara Oates is 10 years old and a fourth grade honor student at Our Lady of Greenwood. She's had eight years of competitive dance in song and dance, tap, ballet, jazz and musical theatre. She's received scholarships and honors for her talent.

The winner will be announced live on the air Friday morning.

So watch Fox 59 Monday to see the three finalists, then vote for your favorite and watch Friday for the announcement of who will star in the title role!

Annie is live on stage at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre May 21 through July 3. A winner of seven Tony Awards, including best musical, this is Beef & Boards' 2009 family show, and features $10 discounts on tickets for kids ages 3-15. Tickets shows range from $34 to $57, and include Chef Odell Ward's dinner buffet, full salad bar and unlimited coffee, tea and lemonade.
