The Indianapolis Opera presents La Boheme by Giacomo Puccini on Friday, November 20 at 8 pm and Sunday, November 22 at 2 pm at Clowes MemoriAl Hall.
A soaring heartbreaker that stays with you long after the final curtain. La Bohème is the inspiration for the Broadway hit musical Rent, but there's no substitute for the original. Wonderful friends, long on imagination and short on cash, cope with life as best they can: Rodolfo, in love with Mimì; Colline the philosopher; Schaunard the musician; and Marcello the painter, with his on again, off-again girlfriend, Musetta.
Featuring Maureen O'Flynn with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, with James Caraher conducting. Performed in Italian with easy-to-read translations projected above the stage.
Tickets range in price from $30 to $115 and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.
