South Bend Civic Theatre announces summer camp classes for 2011. Between June and August, week-long half-day summer camps will be offered giving kids from kindergarten through high school fun, exciting, and immersive experiences in a wide range of theatre areas. Class topics include: Fairytales and Folklore; Masks, Makeup, & More; Stage Combat; "Glee" Weeks; Improv & Comedy; and Musical theatre week.

Director of Education Sara Bartlett and her team of energetic, talented, and kid-friendly teachers provide quality instruction in a fun and safe environment for learning. Studies have shown time and again the importance of arts education in child learning development. With avenues for arts learning being scaled back in the current economic and political climate, South Bend Civic Theatre reaffirms its commitment to providing area kids quality theatre experiences and education.

Registration for summer camps will start April 15th - just in time to put those tax refunds to good use! Day camps will run 2-4 hours for one week. Class prices will range from $140 to $170 per opening. Call the Box Office at 574-234-1112 to make reservations or go online at sbct.org for more information.
