Lincoln Amphitheatre officials announced they are adding a production to the 2013 season. The Lincoln Boyhood Drama Association, the managing nonprofit for the 1500-seat, Lincoln Amphitheatre, will produce a Christmas themed play in December.
Scrooge's Christmas, written and directed by A. Lincoln: A Pioneer Tale's playwright and director Ken Jones, will run in conjunction with two out of the three Santa Claus, Indiana, Christmas Celebration Saturdays. Scrooge's Christmas is adapted from Charles Dickens' classic tale, A Christmas Carol. "Scrooge's Christmas is a dynamic adaptation utilizing a company of actors, through multiple roles, telling the classic story. Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future as they teach him the true meaning of the Christmas Spirit," says Ken Jones, playwright and director for A.Lincoln: A Pioneer Tale and Scrooge's Christmas. Jones added that audiences should expect humor mixed with drama of the entire A Christmas Carol story in a shortened one-hour production.Videos
