As Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis moves into the 31 Anniversary Season and Celebration. "[The 30 goal was to see as many old friends as possible, and revisit wonderful moments in our past. We are certainly moving forward with a renewed sense of community and an even more focused vision of our future," says Producing Director and Phoenix founder Bryan Fonseca.

The Phoenix Theatre 30th Anniversary Celebration weekend included an opening night reception after the 2013 season opening show, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, a Q and A with three generations of artists and a large audience of artists and patrons, a family picnic, and an evening reception at the Arch at Chatham Gallery venue that included music, dancing and cocktails and was free to Phoenix artists, board members, designers and staff. "All events over that celebration weekend were meant to be a thank you to everyone who made the last 30 years possible, and we certainly fulfilled that mission," says Fonseca, who is a founding member of The Phoenix Theatre and Producing Director since its creation 30 years ago.

"People came from as far away as California and Texas to revisit past productions and renew friendships," continued Fonseca. "It was a wonderful celebration that continued throughout the entire season."

It is the goal of The Phoenix Theatre to be the best ticket value in town for live, professional theatre. Our ticket prices were the same from 1999 to 2009 - with the exception of one year due to inflation. Since then, we even lowered our prices when we felt the recession might keep people from investing in Live Theatre.

This season, Phoenix CheapSeats will continue to be available. CheapSeats performances will be the entire opening weekend of each show and not just on Thursdays throughout the run. $18 for CheapSeats for opening weekend; First Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday; $28 for all adults, all remaining performances after opening weekend Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays; $18 for individuals Age 21 and under.

Phoenix FlexPass is the best theatre deal in Indy and will only be available through October 31, 2013. Buying a FlexPass is like getting one regular-priced ticket for free. A FlexPass for $115 gets a patron five vouchers that can be traded in for any combination of tickets for any of the 2013-2014 productions.

Tickets for the new season may be purchased by calling the box office at 317.635.7529 to charge by phone, and are available to purchase on-line at phoenixtheatre.org. All seating is general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Performances are Thursdays at 7:00 pm, Fridays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm, unless otherwise noted on our website. Doors open ½ hour prior to curtain for seating. The Phoenix Pub, located inside the theatre, offers beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee and bottled water, as well as treats, and all refreshments may be taken into either theatre and consumed during the performance.

The Phoenix Theatre will start their 31st Season with VANYA SONIA MASHA AND SPIKE, now through October 20th. Tickets can be bought at 317-635-7529 or online at www.phoenixtheatre.org.
