The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival is proud to present ShakeScenes, free performances of Shakespeare's "greatest hits," on Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Notre Dame's historic Washington Hall.
ShakeScenes is coordinated by Christy Burgess, and performed by members of the Michiana community. Each day's performance offers a different series of ten-minute scenes that are sure to inspire and delight the entire family.
Stomp the yard with Henry V. Watch "the force striketh back" as Star Wars meets Shakespeare. Applaud the verbal acrobatics of Hamleton, a masterly mash-up of Hamlet and Broadway's mega-hit, Hamilton. Over the course of one weekend, actors of all ages from throughout the community take to the stage with their own unique spins on some of Shakespeare's most beloved works.
Performances are free but require a ticket. Call 574-631-2800 (M-F, 12-5pm) or visit shakespeare.nd.edu anytime to make your reservation. Performance is Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Notre Dame's Washington Hall (beside the Golden Dome on the Notre Dame campus).
