Local Children Cast in Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre's THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Now thru 6/30

Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre announces it has cast six local young performers as the von Trapp children in its upcoming production of The Sound of Music. This classic musical is featured as Beef & Boards' 2013 Family Show, and is live on stage today, May 16 through June 30.

Thomas Whitcomb, 14, will play the role of Friedrich. Whitcomb is an eighth-grader at Danville Community Middle School in Danville. He has been seen in many productions throughout the region, including the 2009 production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Beef & Boards.

Kennedy Martin, 16, will play Louisa. Martin, of Westfield, is in ninth grade at Heritage Christian High School. While Martin has performed at theatres throughout the region, she will be making her debut at Beef & Boards.

Madison Moll, 12, has been cast in the role of Brigitta. Moll is in seventh grade at Hamilton Southeastern Junior High School in Fishers. Like Whitcomb, she has previously been seen at Beef & Boards in the 2009 production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, as well as in numerous productions throughout the region.

Isaac Herzog, 12, will be Kurt in The Sound of Music. An Indianapolis resident, Herzog is in sixth grade at Westlane Middle School. He is making his debut at Beef & Boards.

Also making her debut at Beef & Boards is Indianapolis resident Lucy Neal, 9, in the role of Marta. She is in third grade at Allisonville Elementary School.

The youngest role, that of Gretl, will be played by Emma Rogers, 8, of Indianapolis. A second-grader at Spring Mill Elementary, Rogers is performing at Beef & Boards for the first time.

There are 52 performances of The Sound of Music scheduled in the intimate setting of Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. Tickets range from $37.50 to $62.50 and include Chef Odell Ward's family-friendly dinner buffet, fruit & salad bar, and select beverages. As Beef & Boards' 2013 Family Show, The Sound of Music offers $10 discounts off tickets for children ages 3-15. Discounts are also available for groups of 20 or more. Parking is free.
