JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is a musical representation of Joseph from the Old Testament. Scorned for his flamboyant coat, a gift from his doting father, Joseph is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers.

He is enlisted to interpret the Pharaoh's dreams and emerges from Egyptian slavery to become the Pharaoh's right-hand man. He eventually determines the fate of his brothers after they beg him to spare their lives.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's music and Tim Rice's lyrics appeal to the adolescent in all of us. According to the New York Daily News, "...Webber and...Rice's Joseph is an exuberant revel, much like a fairy tale seen through a Barnum and Bailey filter." This production is a favorite among audiences everywhere.

PERFORMANCES: JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT performances run March 5th-21st, 2010 with one IN THE WINGS performance on Thursday, March 11th at 7:30 pm. This musical will be performed at the Arts United Center with Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening performances and Saturday and Sunday matinees (including Wednesday put-in-rehearsal for the children choirs). NOTE: A water-based haze mist will be used in the show.
