Majors/minors which will be considered include: dance, theater performance, technical theater, instrumental music, vocal music, or related field.  Recipients will be based on the applicant's participation, accomplishments, and involvement in the performing arts in the Central Indiana region.  Recipients will receive a minimum scholarship of $1,000.  Applications are available to download on the scholarship's website and must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2012 to be considered for a scholarship this year.

The Blaine Jarrett Memorial Scholarship Fund was started six years ago by Blaine's family and friends.  The fund has since been growing steadily thanks to the contibutions of a variety of donors and various fundraising activities.  The Blaine Jarrett Memorial Scholarship Fund has now reached sufficient funding to allow meaningful annual scholarships to be awarded on an on-going basis.  Additional donations are still being sought and can be sent to BJMSF, 11150 Southeatern Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46259.  More information on donating to the fund can be found by visiting the scholarship's website.
