A benefit concert, part of the "Dream In Color" series, will take place Monday, Nov. 11, at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre.
The concert benefits the Live Through Love Foundation, an organization established by Dominic Sheahan-Stahl, who is currently playing the role of Marius Pontmercy in Beef & Boards' production of LES MISERABLES. Live Through Love is a non-profit organization he established in 2012 to bring awareness to the struggles of discrimination and to reward open LGBT high school seniors with scholarships.
"Live Through Love has helped many in bringing the awareness of discrimination and bullying to the forefront," Sheahan-Stahl said. "Having real conversations and teaching how to choose the better reaction: When you react out of love, the world gives you so much more. It's time to remove hate and fear from everyone's lives."
The 8 p.m. concert will feature Broadway, film and television talent from Indianapolis, Chicago and New York City. No reservations are required and tickets are not being sold through the Beef & Boards box office. A donation of $10 is suggested for the open-seating concert. Cash bar will be available.
"The Dream In Color Concert is an evening full of laughter and love as we raise our hearts and voices to those who stand up for themselves and others every day," he added. "It also brings awareness to the effects and struggles many kids still go through with discrimination and bullying - reminding everyone to choose love, not hate and not fear. My goal is to take this concert series to every state!"
The "Dream in Color" concert series has already included concerts in New York City and Louisville, with another scheduled in Orlando, Florida, in January. "Dream in Color" is also a single, recorded earlier this year by Sheahan-Stahl, which is available on iTunes. Proceeds from this single benefit the Live Through Love Foundation.
"'Dream In Color' is the anthem of Live Through Love. It's a song about choosing to live fully and to never let anything or anyone stop you from being you and achieving all that you can! To open your eyes to all the colors that exist in this world and become the thing you're dreaming of," Sheahan-Stahl said.
