The singing, dancing, rocking movie musical Footloose hits the Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre stage in just a few short weeks! Based on a true story, it's about a big-city kid who shakes things up when he moves to a small town. Filled with 1980s hits like "Let's Hear it for the Boy", "Almost Paradise", "Holding Out For A Hero" and, of course, "Footloose", it's a show that will make you want to get up and dance!

Come see Footloose live on stage before the movie remake comes out later this year. The production will run from February 11th through March 21st. For a detailed show schedule visit http://www.beefandboards.com or call the box office at 317-872-9664 to make your reservation.

Footloose is a 1984 American film that tells the story of Ren McCormack, played by Kevin Bacon, a teenager who was raised in Chicago. McCormack moves to a small town where the local government has banned dancing and rock music. Ren and his classmates want to have a senior prom with music and dancing. They must figure out a way to get around the law and Reverend Shaw Moore, played by John Lithgow, who blames rock music's influence for the death of his first child. The 1998 musical based on the 1984 film of the same name. The music is by Tom Snow (among others), the lyrics by Dean Pitchford (with additional lyrics by Kenny Loggins), and the book is by Pitchford and Walter Bobbie.

Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre has been serving up food, fun, and fabulous entertainment since 1973.  Located in College Park, the theatre was a part of a chain of dinner theatres built by Louiville contractor J. Scott Talbott.  It was called 'Beef' because of the roast beef served for dinner and 'Boards' referring to the boards of a stage or theatre.
