Patchworks Ensemble's SHIKAAR at Prithvi Theatre

In a city inhabited by both, human and otherworldly beings, a group of contemporary 'chudails' meet up in an old abandoned bungalow to celebrate a very special occasion- a rite of passage in their sisterhood. Although adjusted in the modern world of humans with professional lives, they tread carefully while still committed to the tenets of being a 'chudail'. For their very survival, they must prey, hunt and devour victims. But come what may, they cannot be discovered. What is supposed to be an evening of fun is suddenly interrupted by a government official who brings with him a very strange and specific mandate? The gathering quickly slips into an unsettling space- turning friends into suspects, victims into predators, exposing the morality that perpetuates an unending cycle of violence and persecution.
