Deeksha . . .literally meaning taking on a spiritual discipline, here it implies taking on a discipline that involves abstinence from alcohol. The story shows how the protagonist's attitude towards alcohol changes from abstinence to addiction, and how that addiction, much to the audience's amusement lands him in variety of troubles!
