Con Brio 2013 Finals at Experimental Theatre

While opera is something Mumbai audiences do have the opportunity to experience, we rarely get to see one with a cast comprising entirely of Indians. The Giving Voice to India initiative, under the leadership of Patricia Rozario and Mark Troop present Benjamin Britten’s The Little Sweep, a short opera in one act about a little boy who is helped by a bunch of children to be freed from the labours of being a sweep. In addition to the opera, this concert will also feature the three finalists of the Con Brio 2013 whose children’s stories will be performed along with narration. The prize distribution will take place at the end of this programme.
