Kaise Karenge? is an urban Hindi play about two brothers, 21-year-old Saurav Parasrampuria and 27-year-old Kapil Parasrampuria. Have you ever heard of a 21-year-old who has 4 patents for inventions under his name? Someone who has topped every exam he has ever appeared for? Won every debate, won every sports competition he has been a part of? He has secured an all India Rank #1, in the IIT Entrance examination. He is even dating a girl who is two years older than him. He is smarter than the teachers who teach him. That is Saurav Parasrampuria.

A genius. Now his dream in life is to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the number one Ivy League College in the world, where out of the 20,000 applications, only 1200 get admission.

On the other hand, the other brother, Kapil Parasrampuria is anything but a genius. He works as a copywriter in an advertising agency, where has written and presented 30 ads over the past 2 years but, all of them have been rejected. Not that he cares much about it, because his priority in life is his mother. He does everything with his mother, from eating to daily puja to shopping. His mother also decides what clothes Kapil should wear. From leaving office early, to not attending parties or dinner with friends, Kapil will make any sacrifice, small or big for his mother. The only reason he has stuck to his job at the advertising agency is Amrita, his boss's daughter whom he likes a lot.

The play opens with the news that there are a few days left for Saurav to leave for his MIT interview and that his application has been accepted. Unfortunately, tragedy strikes the family, and the mother dies an untimely death. Saurav is devastated by this news, but not as much as Kapil, who has locked himself in his room. Saurav hardly ever sees him, even though they live in the same house.

As if this was not enough, Kapil starts doing strange things which he would have otherwise never have indulged in; he starts eating non-vegetarian food, drinks alcohol and even goes to the extent of completely changing his wardrobe to loud and eccentric tones! This makes Saurav believe that there is something wrong with his brother and lands up calling the family doctor.

The doctor reveals that Kapil as a child was tortured by his father physically and that was the reason the mother had left him and had shifted to Mumbai. But due to the abuse, Kapil had developed a condition called Dissociative Identity Disorder commonly known as Multiple Personality Disorder. Kapil has two other alters, Sunny, an outspoken and confident personality; while the other goes by the name of Kabir, a 43-year-old Lucknowi Poet. They help him by protecting him from the outside world. Whenever Kapil feels uncomfortable, these alters take over Kapil and do things as him.

Listening to this news, Saurav gives up his lifelong dream to go to MIT and decides to stay back with his brother.

What follows is mayhem! What Saurav didn't factor in is that he is now staying with three personalities. Who have different preferences and a different approach to life. While Deepak needs Tea, Sunny drinks only coffee; Sunny listens to Rock music but Deepak only listens to Bhajans and old Hindi Songs. The entire society is convinced that both the brothers have gone mad after the death of the mother, but what we forget as people is that such moments of insanity gives rise to discoveries. After a few months, Saurav's genius mind figures out that Kapil and his alters have one thing in common - they all make television advertisements with their own specialty.

Thus, begins the journey of Saurav to help his brother make this disorder work in his favour for him. Will he succeed in the biggest examination of his life? Will Kapil be able to let go of his fears and take control of his life again?

The Cast: Darsheel Safary, Abhishek Pattnaik, Prakhar Singh and Gaurangi Dang.
