India Hosts Three Days of Play Competitions

Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College presented a play competition spanning three days with five contemporary social awareness plays.

The first play was "Swarganiki Nichenalu" presented by Aravinda Arts, Tadepalli, written by Valluru Sivaprasad and directed by 'Gangotri' Sai. This play won Best production, Best Actor, best villain and best stage craft awards.

The second play was "Manadesam Manakosam" presented by Abhudaya Kala Samithi, Tenali, written by Snigdha and directed by Kamaraju Mallikharjuna Rao.

Gangotri, Pedakakani presented "Dagdha Geetam", written by M Vidyadhar and directed by Naidu Gopi. This won Second Best Production, along with best director, best actress and best music awards.

Best script award and Best supporting award went to "Oka Varalo Muudu Kattulu" written and directed by M Sanjeevi.

Finally, Guntur presented the drama "Anta mana manchike", written and directed by Varikuti Sivaprasad which received the best comedian award.
